OEKO-TEX certification is the abbreviation for STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX. It is an ecological textile certification that detects harmful substances in textiles. It was formulated by the OEKO-TEX International Environmental Textile Association in 1992. There are currently 16 testing associations whose main task is to detect harmful substances in textiles to determine their safety. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is now the most widely used textile eco-label.
